ACReSAL Holds a Stakeholders’ Engagement Forum in Abuja

The  Minister of Environment, Mal. Balarabe Lawal Abbas who is the Chairman of the Agro-Climatic Resilience in Semi-Arid Landscapes (ACReSAL)  Project Federal Steering Committee presided over a stakeholders’ engagement session of the Project’s  Federal and States Steering and Technical Committees, recently.
The engagement meeting that has the ministers, commissioners and permanent secretaries of ministries of Environment, Agriculture & Food Security and Water Resources & Sanitation from the Federal level,  19 Northern states and FCT in attendance at Abuja Continental Hotels, Abuja  was to deliberate on the project development objectives, implementations arrangements and the need for  policy strengthening.
The forum explicitly highlighted the critical roles of the Ministers, Commissioners and Permanent Secretaries of the lead implementing ministries. These efforts of the World Bank Team and the Federal Project Management Unit (FPMU) are to ensure effective project delivery and sustainability.
